BUCCS WIN THE TRC CHAMPIONSHIP IN GOLF

WEST MILTON – The Covington Buccaneers capped a perfect 18-0 record in the TRC by winning the conference championship tournament on Thursday by 21 strokes over runner-up Troy Christian.

The Buccaneers finished with a score of 343 as a team, while Troy Christian tallied 364, Lehman 365, Milton-Union 366, Miami East 367, Bethel 370 and Riverside 390.

Sam Grabeman and Matt Dieperkin led the Buccs with scores of 85, good for 9th. Bryson Hite finished 11th with an 86 and Camron Haines finished 12th with an 87.

Hunter Ray scored a 932 for 16th and Connor Humphrey finished in a three-way tie for 18th with a score of 94.

Bill Wise was named Coach of the Year in the TRC, while Bryson Hite, Sam Grabeman and Matt Dieperink earned second team honors in the league and Cameron Haines was named honorable mention.
