ASHER LONG WINS REGIONAL RACE

TROY – Covington senior Asher Long won the regional cross country meet with an impressive time of 15:46.80 in Troy on Saturday, which secured his third straight trip to state.

Long finished 25th at state as a sophomore in 2021 and 18th last season as a junior. This season he broke the school record with a time of 15:26.65.

As a team, the Buccs finished 8th with 176 team points.

Senior Johanna Welborn led the girls cross country team with a time of 20:33.30, which was 24th place. The Lady Buccs finished 11th as a team with 263 points.

State will take place next Saturday, November 4th at 10:45am at Fortress Obetz and Memorial Park in Obetz, Ohio.
