Monday, October 1, 2018 - Covington
The Covington Lady Buccs hosted Northridge in non-league play on Monday night in a non-conference match in what was the first game in a very busy week of volleyball.

And the Lady Buccs started the week off in style by defeating Northridge in three sets; 25-18, 25-11, 25-14.

"It took the first set for us to get going," said Covington coach Lonnie Cain. "We had a pretty good night at the service line with sixteen aces and a total of thirty-two kills. I was happy with our effort at the net and our communication for the most part. We still need to cut out our unforced errors and stay focused."

The Lady Buccs are now 4-5 CCC and 6-11 Overall.

Covington JV were defeated by Northridge 19-25, 20-25. They are now 3-6 CCC and 4-12 Overall.

Next match is Tuesday night at home versus Tri-County North. This is also Junior High Night.

"Tuesday night is a league match and it is also the night we are recognizing our seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams," Cain said. "Our seventh grade won the regular season CCC title with a 12-0 record."
