SHOWING IMPROVMENT...
The Covington Lady Buccs fell to Tri-Village on Thursday, but are showing improvement with each outing.

AUGUST 29, 2103
The Covington Lady Buccs volleyball team dropped a Cross County Conference contest to Tri-Village on Thursday by the scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-15.

The loss drops Covington to 0-3 on the season and 0-1 in CCC play.

"It's not an excuse, but we're still young," said Covington coach Ashley Miller. "We need to continued working hard every day and stay together as a team. If we do that, things will get better.

Covington was led by sophomore Brooke Gostomsky with 7 kills and freshman Rachel York with 6 kills.

Sophomore Arianna Richards had 11 assists and junior Jessica Dammeyer recorded 14 digs.

"Overall, our hitting is getting better," said Miller. "We are improving every day and that's what we need to focus on. It takes time."

Covington hosts rival Newton on Monday.
