LADY BUCCS END THREE-GAME SKID...
The Covington Lady Buccs cruised to a three-game sweep over Bethel to improve to 7-2 in the CCC.

Covington snapped a three-game losing skid on Thursday, dispatching Bethel in three games by the score of 25-10, 25-12, 25-16.
After a slow start in the first game with the Lady Buccs holding a slim 5-4 lead, Covington took command with a 12-1 run and eventually pulled away for a 25-10 win.
The trend continued in the second game as Covington jumped out to an 11-2 lead to force a Bethel timeout.
The Lady Bees battled back to cut the deficit to 12-8, but Covington got the hot hand again and outscored Bethel 13-4 the rest of the way for a 25-12 win.
Down two games to zero, Bethel showed grit and determination in the third game - hanging close with Covington for much of the game. But the Lady Buccs pulled away down the stretch to take a 25-16 win to end the match.
The Lady Buccs were led by Caitlyn Crawford with 14 kills, while Shelby Kihm recorded 8 kills and 2 blocks.
Shelby Waag dished out 22 assists on the night, while freshman Jessica Dammeyer recorded a team-high 5 digs - all coming in the final game.
Covington improves to 10-9 overall and and 7-2 in the CCC. The Lady Buccs host Ansonia on Saturday.
JV RESULT: Covington beat Bethel in two games, 25-20 and 25-9.
