BUCC TRACK TEAMS COMPETE IN CCC MEET...
The Covington boys and girls track teams competed in the qualifying rounds of the CCC Meet at Twin Valley South on Thursday.

Several Covington boys and girls advanced to Saturday's finals of the Cross County Conference Track Meet with stellar performances Thursday at Twin Valley South High School.
Also, several relay teams placed.
The girls 4x800 meter relay team of Ashley Diltz, Josselyn Tobias, Alyssa Angle and Holly Tobias took second with a time of 10:25.1, while the boys 4x800 team placed third (8:56.6). The runners for the Covington boys were Curtis Dysinger, Willie Hoffert, Logan hall and Bill Dickey.
The boys 4x200 relay team took fourth, while the girls 4x200 team placed third in their respective heats.
The boys 4x100 meter relay team finished third in their heat (49.2) as did the girls 4x100 team (56.9).
Brock Iddings is well on his way to defending his conference title in the 110 meter hurdles as he qualified for the finals with a time of 16.4. He also qualified in the 300 meter hurdles in 41.9 and the 200 meter dash (23.8).
Renee Otte earned a ticket to the finals in the 100 meter dash (13.8), 200 meter dash (28.7) and the 400 (1:03.9).
Several events have yet to take place and will be concluded on Saturday as will the finals of the qualifying events.
