The Covington boys and girls track team took part in the Stillwater Invitational at Versailles High School on Tuesday and put together some solid performances. The girls brought home four first place finishes and three second place finishes, while the boys captured first in one event and second in another.
The Lady Buccs' 4x800 team on Alyssa Angle, Chelsea Tebbe, Alex Christian and Ashley Diltz recorded their best time by capturing first in 10:24.4.
Meredith Tobias brought home two individual titles in the 110 meter hurdles (16.4) and the long jump (14'10"), while Alex Christian captured first in the discuss.
The boy's lone first place finish came from Brock Iddings in the 110 meter hurdles.
Taking second for the girls were Rachel Rindler in the 100 meter dash (13.9), Chelsea Tebbe in the 400 meter dash (1:04.9) and the 4x400 relay team of Rindler, Tebbe, Christian and Diltz (4:27.8).
Capturing second was the 4x800 meter relay team of Travis Meyer, Zach Gibson, Curtis Dystinger and Levi VanDeGrift.
