The Covington boys and girls track teams had some memorable individual perfomances at the County Meet in Piqua..

It was a big night for some of the Covington runners on the track Tuesday at the Piqua Invitational as two performers captured first place finishes and others placed as high as second in individual events.

Brock Iddings had his most successful evening as he crossed the finish line first in both the 110 meter hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles. The junior finished the shorter distance in a personal best of 16.42 in what was only his third time running the event. He then ran another personal best in the 300 meter hurdles by finishing in 51.92. It was only the second time he competed in that event.

Ashley Diltz also took home a first place medal as the junior ran a personal best in the 800 meter run. Diltz breezed through the home stretch, finishing strong in 2:35.74.

Meredith Tobias earned a second place finish in the 300 meter hurdles in the time of 51.92. She took fourth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.31 and sixth in the long jump (13' 6").

Alex Christian captured a third place finish in the discuss with a toss of 98' 10".
