"I am very pleased with Sam's play - he was steady all day," said coach Bill Wise. "He finished with a birdie on the last hole to give him a one shot lead over his closest competitor. The course was playing tough - scores were higher all around. We need to find ways to save some shots out there if we want to advance out of our sectional."
Sectional is at Greenville Golf course on Wednesday (9:00 am start).
