Covington has rolled to a 4-1 record in the month of August and appear to be picking up steam heading into the second half of 2010.
MIAMI EAST - AUGUST 30, 2010
Covington got back to its winning ways with a 192-213 win over Miami East in CCC action at Echo Hills.
The Ingle Sisters paced the Lady Buccs with Cassie pulling in a 41 and Allison recording a 47.
Other Covington scores were: Chloe Shell - 51, Nicole Henson - 53, Jamie Crowell - 54 and Connor Schaffer - 61.
FRANKLIN MONROE - AUGUST 26, 2010
One stroke separated Covington from victory against Franklin Monroe as the Lady Buccs fell by the score of 215-216.
The scores for Covington were: Cassie Ingle - 49, Connor Schaffer - 54, Jamie Crowell - 56, Chloe Shell - 57, Myranda Kelly - 57 and Nicole Henson - 61.
Covington's record stands at 1-1 in the CCC and 3-1 overall.
RUSSIA - AUGUST 25, 2010
The Lady Buccs improved to 3-0 in head-dto-head matchups with a 203 to 214 victory over Russia.
Jamie Crowell led the way with a 50, while Chloe Shell, Cassie Ingle and Connor Schaffer each recorded 51's. Allison Ingle scored a 53, Katie Blair a 62 and Bethany Richards a 70.
MISSISSINAWA VALLEY - AUGUST 24, 2010
Covington captured a win in the CCC opener against Mississinawa Valley, recording an impressive score of 198.
Cassie Ingle paced Covington with a 44, while Jamie Crowell recorded a 49. Conner Schaffer and Chloe Shell finished in the 50's with a 52 and 53, while Myranda Kelly recorded a 63 and Nicole Henson a 66.
NEW BREMEN - AUGUST 20, 2010
The Lady Buccs opened their dual meet season with a 204-213 victory over the Lady Cardinals of New Bremen High School this past Friday at the Arrowhead Golf Course in Minster.
The Buccs were led by Cassie Ingle with a 47. She was followed by Jamie Crowell-51, Connor Schaffer-51, Chloe Shell-55, Nicole Henson-58, Myranda Kelly -61, Allison Ingle-61 and Katie Blair-65. Earlier in the week the team traveled to Arcanum for the Lady Trojan Invitational where they finished 6th of 10 teams. Scoring for Covington was Nicole Henson-116, Connor Schaffer-117, Jamie Crowell-122, Katie Blair-125, Myranda Kely 134 and Bethany Richards-160.
An update on the Pink Out collection, $1525 was delivered to the James Cancer Research Center at Ohio Stae University for breast cancer research. The two year donation total is over $2700.
LADY TIGER TEE - AUGUST 12, 2010
The Lady Buccs competed in their second invitational of the season as they traveled to Webster for the Versailles Tiger Tee Invitational Golf Tournament at the Stillwater Valley Golf Course. The Lady Buccs performed very well as they placed fifth of eighteen teams. The Buccs were challenged by many much larger schools and the long Stillwater Course playing from the men's tees.
Covington individual scores: Cassie Ingle-99, Chloe Shell-99, Jamie Crowell-101, Connoe Schaffer-120, Allison Ingle-130 and Myranda Kelly-134. The team showed much improvement from the first match even if the scores do not show it.

PINK OUT INVITE - AUGUST 9, 2010
The fifth annual Covington Eagles-Lady Bucc's Golf Tournament, and second annual 'Pink Out" was held this past Monday at the Echo Hills Golf Course in Piqua. The tournament continues to get bigger and better every year. The field of fifteen was the largest in the five year history along with the 89 golfers.
This year's winner Tippecanoe, the defending champion, set a meet record with a great score of 308. The team was led by Murray sisters, Laura (Sr.) with a 3 under par 70 and Lindsey(Fr.) 1 under par 72. Tipp is without a doubt one of the best teams in the state. Second place went to Miamisburg with a 354 and third to Graham with a 356. The Lady Buccs placed 11th and were led by three sophomores, Cassie Ingle-97, Jamie Crowell-98 and Connor Schaffer-108. Other Bucc's scores were Sr. Chloe Shell-113, Sr. Myranda Kelly-114, Fr. Allison Ingle-118, Sr. Nicole Henson-119 and Soph. Katie Blair-130.
As was the case from last year, the course was heavily adorned with the color pink. The tournament was used to raise money for the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at the OSU James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Center. Last year the event raised nearly $1200 dollars and this year we are near $1500 with the amount still growing.
