The Lady Buccs moved one step closer to a CCC golf title as they defeated the once beaten National Trail Lady Blazers 187-207 on Senior night at Echo Hills.

The Buccs moved their record to 6-0 in the CCC and 9-2 overall. The 187 total is a low score for the season.

The Buccs were led by Nicole henson and Connor Schaffer with scores of 46.

They were closely followed by Sarah Westfall-47, Chloe Shell-48, Jamie Crowell-50 and Cassie Ingle-53.

One league match remains, Ansonia next Tuesday, and the CCC tournament is September 24 at Stillwater Valley in Webster.

Senior Sarah Westfall was honored by her teammates as they gave her flowers, a crown, congratulations and good luck signs, pink cupcakes and drinks. They also all wore pink T-shirts for her.

The Lady Buccs hosted the Lady Vikings tonight at Echo Hills in the battle of the unbeatens in the CCC. The Buccs came away with a 199-205 victory.

Both teams were victims of numerous penalities and less than stellar putting.

The Buccs were led by Chloe Shell who shot a career low 44.

She was followed by Sarah Westfall-47, Jamie Crowell-52, Cassie Ingle-56, Myranda Kelly-62 and Nicole Henson-65.

Covington is now 5-0 in CCC play with just two matches remaining.

The Lady Buccs visited the Lady Blackhawks of Mississinawa Valley on September 14 and came home with a 195-227 win.

The Blackhawks set a school record with their 227 score.

The Lady Buccs teed it up with the Lady Jets of Franklin Monroe at Beechwood Golf Course in Arcanum and came away with a 200-249 victory.
