The Buccaneer boys golf team captured three straight wins over Cross County Conference foes.

The Covington Buccaneers needed some big performances to fend off a solid effort by Miami East on Thursday and junior Martin Leistner and freshman Sam Slusher stepped up.
The duo led all golfers with a 38, pacing Covington to a 164-170 victory and its third straight CCC win of the week.
Eric Beckstedt turned in a 42, while Andrew Tobias recorded a 46.

The Covington boys golf team captured another conference victory for the second straight afternoon, bettering Tri-County North by 20 strokes 169-189.
Christian Carder led all golfers with a 41, while Eric Beckstedt (42), Martin Leistner (42) and Devan Selanders (44) finished better than the Panthers' leading score of 45 turned in by Cody Eakes and Chris Johnson.
