The Covington Lady Buccs came up short in their quest to capture the CCC Title for the fifth straight year.

The Covington Lady Buccs went into the season with one goal in mind - capture a fifth straight conference championship.
Although the task was difficult, "The Drive For Five" became the team's motto from day one.
Unfortunately, that goal never materialized as the Lady Buccs fell short at the Cross County Conference Tournament at the Stillwater Golf Course in Webster on Tuesday.
With a team score of 441, Covington finished third behind Ansonia (416) and Miami East (434).
Individually, senior Renee Otte shot an even 100 to earn her CCC Player of the Year honors. She became the third Covington female golfer to win the award, following Ashley Johnson and Amanda Fritts in consecutive years.
Sarah Westfall and Chloe Shell earned first team honors in the conference. Westfall shot a 103, while Shell came in with a 110.
