Cali Jo Deeter recorded a 44 to lead the Lady Buccs to a conference win over Tri-Village.

AIt was a long bus ride for the Covington Lady Buccs golf team, but well worth it as they came away with a 196-206 victory over Tri-Village, Thursday in Richmond, Indiana.

The head-to-head victory improves Covington's record to 4-0 in Cross County Conference action.

Senior Cali Jo Deeter continues to gain confidence in her game as she led Covington with a 44. Deeter, who came on at the end of last season, has drastically improved and could make some noise as the season progresses.

Amanda Fritts and Renee Otte each shot a 4.

Covington takes a three-game win streak into Russia on Monday in a non-conference match-up before hosting Miami East on Tuesday in CCC play. Next week will be concluded with a trip to Ansonia on Thursday.
