Lady Buccs win CCC Golf Tournament and league title
Despite shooting scores a little above their average, the Lady Buccs were able to easily defeat the field in Wednesday"s tournament at the Greenville Country Club.Team scores and final standings are as follows:

On Tuesday the Lady Buccs traveled to White Springs Golf Course in Greenville to take and defeat the Tigers 199-232.

Covington finished 11th out of 12 in the final league standings. Newton, Miami East, and Arcanum placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

"Obviously, this was not a great showing for the boys," said coach Bill Wise. "One or two huge holes per golfer cost us a lot of strokes. One bright spot is that Clark Manson did shoot an 88, the 7th best round of the day. Due to the weather and the recent aeration of the greens, all team scores were higher than expected. Hopefully, our boys will settle down and play well during Monday's sectional tournament at the challenging Beechwood course."
