The boys and girls cross country teams had solid performances at the annual Bob Schul Invitational in West Milton on Saturday.

The Covington Boys Cross Country team competed at the Bob Schul Invitational on Saturday in West Milton. The boys placed 8th out of the 29 teams competing on the day.
Leading the way for Covington was sophomore Willy Hoffert, who placing 13th with an all-time personal best of 17:42.
Brandon Flora was 49th with a time of 19:09, followed by Andy Hittle 58th 19:21, Darrell Thobe 81st 20:12, Zach Shilt 85th 20:15, Michael Rosengarten 133rd 21:46, Tyler Moody 137th 22:13, Harry Hicks 139th 22:20, Cole Wagner 178th 25:01, and Zac Plessinger 179th 25:07.
The Covington Girls Cross Country team also competed at the Bob Schul Invitational. The team placed 6th out of 18 teams.
Leading the way was sophomore Carrie Spurgeon, who placing 35th with a time of 22:43.
Julianna Simon finished 47th with a time of 24:21, closely following was Erin Waterfall 48th 24:23, Kayla Fissel 50th 24:24, and Raquel Brant 51st 24:25. Alyssa Reck placed 128th with a time of 29:57.
The Buccs will be competing this coming Saturday at the Greenville Treaty Invitational.
