Senior Ashley Diltz is getting healthy as evident by her impressive performance at the Eaton Invitational on Saturday.
The Covington Boy's and Girl's cross country team ran at the Eaton Invitational with the girls team coming home with a 6th place finish.
For the boys, senior Curtis Dysinger led the way with a time of 18:18.
Sophomore Levi VanDeGrift continues to impress as he finished just one second behind with 18:19.
Freshman Willy Hoffert followed with a time of 18:58, while Andy Hittle finished in 19:03, Brandon Flora 19:18, Darrell Thobe 19:27, and C.J. Poling 19:57.
The Boy's reserve race was led by Zach Shilt 19:59. Aaron Devenport finished with a time of 20:15, Michael Rosengarten 21:07, Harry Hicks 21:33, and Tyler Moody 22:36.
The Girls team placed 6th.
Leading the way for the girls was senior Ashley Diltz with a time of 20:55.
"Ashley ran an awesome race," said Covington coach Libby Long. "She has been ill for the past few weeks. It was good to see her run healthy today."
Emily Fields ran a 21:59, followed by Carrie Spurgeon 22:11, Kayla Fissel 23:20, Tara McNutt 25:43, and Alyssa Reck 27:25.
The performance of the Lady Bucc runners please Long as they continue to improve as a team.
"The girls are learning how to push themselves during the race," she stated. "They keep getting better with each race they run."
The boys and girls will run at Versailles next Saturday.
