| GIRLS TAKE 5TH, BOYS 6TH AT SPENCERVILLE...
The Covington Boy's cross country team placed 6th at the Spencerville Invitational.
The Boy's were lead by Levi VanDeGrift who placed 15th running a personal best 18:14. Second on the team, and also running a personal best was Willy Hoffert at 18:34. Curtis Dysinger ran an 18:48, followed by Andy Hittle, 19:05, Brandon Flora 19:28, C.J. Poling 19:50, and Zach Shilt 20:00.
"Five of the top seven boys ran a personal best," said boys coach Josh Long. "The boy's continue to improve each race."
The Reserve Boy's finished 7th.
Aaron Devenport lead the way running a 21:05, followed by Michael Rosengarten 21:10, Zack Gibson 21:45, Harry Hicks 22:25, and Tyler Moody 23:13.
The Girls team placed 5th.
Emily Fields placed 8th with a time of 21:45. Ashley Diltz placed 10th at 21:54. Carrie Spurgeon was 18th running a 22:30. Kayla Fissel was 37th running a 24:10. Raquel Brant placed 40th with a time of 24:29. Tara McNutt ran a 26:25, Alyssa Reck 28:44 and Ashley Hoblit 32:13.
"Having two girls in the top ten is great," said coach Libby Long. "Emily and Ashley continue to run well. Our three, four and five runners had a personal best time. All the girls are working hard to push themselves during the race."
