CONGRATULATIONS MR. BARBEE...
Tom Barbee, known as Mr. Barbee to the approximately 2,000 students he taught at Covington, retired after 35 years of teaching. For his "Going Away Present" to the kids, Mr. Barbee allowed three of the eighth graders to shave his mustache in front of the junior high student body. Congratulations on your retirement from teaching and we look forward to seeing you continuing your work with the kids as a coach. |

Two competitors made it out of the district track meet this weekend at Milton Union as freshman Tara Snipes took second in the 800 meter run and senior Ben Christian claimed a district title in the discuss and placed third in the shot put.
